Mint and Lime Iced Green Tea

Posted in /Cooking/Drinks on Thursday, July 27, 2017

This is another Starbucks copy-cat iced tea drink which will make a very refreshing new favourite in your summertime lineup.

Ingredients

8 cups water, divided
8 green tea bags (I use Tazo Mint green tea bags)
1 bunch of fresh mint
1 cup granulated sugar
1/2 cup lime juice
ice, mint sprigs and lime slices for garnish

Directions

1. Place 4 cups water in a medium pot and bring to a simmer over high heat. Once water is simmering, remove from heat and add tea bags and mint. Cover and let steep for 10 minutes.
2. Once tea has steeped, remove tea bags and add sugar. Stir to dissolve sugar. Pour in remaining 4 cups cold water. Chill tea in refrigerator.
3. Once tea has chilled stir in lime juice and serve over ice with mint sprigs and lime slices for garnish. Add more sugar, if desired.
