Homemade Pizza

Posted in /Cooking/Entrees on Saturday, December 02, 2017

Everyone I know loves a good pizza. This is seriously the easiest dough I've come across. I've used a scale to get the most accurate measurements but don't let that stop you from making your house smell of wonderful cheesy goodness.

Yield: 1 large pizza

Ingredients

500g flour
12g dry active yeast
300 mL lukewarm water
50 mL oil
5g salt
1/2 egg

Directions

1. Dissolve yeast and water and let stand for 5 minutes
2. Meanwhile mix the remaining ingredients in your stand mixer with the dough hook
3. Add the yeast water mixture slowly to the stand mixer bowl
4. Mix the dough with the dough hook for 10-15 minutes to develop the gluten and make the dough pliable enough to work with

5. Stretch or roll out your dough and add toppings of your choice

6. Bake at 400 for 20-25 minutes
