Salt and pepper to taste
8 oz goat cheese (you can substitute brie, blue, or cream cheese)

1 cup sliced strawberries (or use whatever berries are in season)
Garnish with fresh basil and balsamic reduction

Directions

1. Preheat the oven to 350F
2. Slice baguette into 3/4 inch slices. place the bread slices on a baking sheet and brush them with butter. Season with salt and pepper. Bake for 5-10 minutes until lightly toasted.
3. Meanwhile, mix together goat cheese and honey until smooth.
4. Spread the goat cheese, using a small spatula, onto the top of each crostini.
5. Arrange the strawberries nicely on top. Drizzle with honey.
6. Chiffonade (thin slices) basil leaves and place a few on top of each crostini
