Wonton Crisps

These crisps can be a nice addition to a salad or to a dessert.
Ingredients
24 square wonton wrappers, thawed
1 large egg yolk
1 Tbsp heavy cream
4-6 Tbsp white or black sesame seeds or a mixture of the two
Sweet Topping
1 Tbsp sugar
1/2 tsp ground dry ginger (1 Tbsp fresh zested ginger)
Pinch salt
Savory Topping #1
Freshly grated parmesan cheese
Fresh herbs minced - I used oregano
Savory Topping #2
Balsamic reduction for drizzle effect
Salt & pepper
Garlic powder
Directions
- Preheat oven to 350F. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.
- In a small bowl combine egg yolk and cream.
- Space wonton wrappers out on baking sheet so they are not overlapping and brush one side of the wontons wrapper with egg wash, then sprinkle with a your savory or sweet topping, about 1/2-3/4 tsp per wonton.
- Bake in preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden and crisp.
