Chocolate Pot De Creme

Think of this as the best chocolate pudding you've ever tasted!
Ingredients
1 cup milk
1 cup heavy cream
2 1/2 cups (4 oz) bittersweet chocolate
1 3/4 cups white sugar
2 tsp vanilla
1/4 cup (2 oz) coffee liqueur such as Kahlua
14 egg yolks
Directions
- In a double boiler melt chocolate.
- Slowly add sugar and milk/cream to the melted chocolate alternating the ingredients
- Remove from the heat and add the vanilla and Kahlua
- Whisk the egg yolks together, then slowly whisk them into the chocolate
- Pour the custard into ramekins.
- Put the ramekins in a pan with a tall edge and fill with water until the water reaches 1/2 way up the side of the ramekin
- Bake at 325F degrees until the custards are almost set in the center, approximately 30 minutes.
- Remove from the water bath and refrigerate until thoroughly chilled.
- Serve garnished with whipped cream.
