Pear And Honey Vinaigrette

Vinaigrette Ingredients

3/4 cup olive oil
1/4 cup apple cider vinegar
2 Tbsp water
2 Tbsp honey
1 1/2 tsp salt
1/4 tsp pepper

Mixed green ingredients

1 package mixed greens
2 Anjou pears
1/2 cup feta
1/2 cup candied pecans
1 cup honey vinaigrette
Reduced balsamic - to drizzle as garnish

Vinaigrette Directions

  • Combine all ingredients and whisk together

Salad Directions

  • Place the greens into a salad bowl
  • Slice the pears into either chunks or thin slices. Place on top of the greens
  • Crumble feta on top of the salad, followed by the candied pecans
  • Drizzle with vinaigrette and garnish with reduced balsamic drizzle

Blue Cheese

Ingredients

1/4 cup buttermilk
1/4 cup sour cream
1/2 cup crumbled blue cheese
juice and zest of 1/2 a lemon
salt and hot sauce to taste

Directions

  1. In a blender mix together all ingredients
  2. If the flavour is to strong, you can add feta or make the whole thing with feta instead of blue cheese
  3. Great for dipping sauce for hot wings!

Classic Vinaigrette

Ingredients

2 tablespoons red wine vinegar
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1/2 teaspoon kosher salt
pepper to taste
1/3 cup olive oil.

Directions

  1. Combine all ingredients except for the olive oil in a shake-able container or whisk together in a bowl.
  2. Gradually add in the olive oil to help set the emulsification.
