These are nice little side dishes that my students make in the vegetarian and ethnic cuisine unit. I always hear them say plain yogurt is gross I don't want to try this recipe. But I'm happy to say they're always pleasantly surprised by how good they taste.

Since it is Canada's 150 birthday it seems a good time to celebrate Canadian cuisine. There is only one ingredient that is not grown in Canada; even though I've tried growing my own lemon trees I doubt they'll ever produce a lemon! But you can substitute with balsamic vinegar which they've starting making in British Colombia.

This can be made with ground meat or cubed. Quinoa is also optional but don't add the water if you're not using quinoa.
